The AMS Gas Vapour Probe System is available as a series of kits from a
basic kit without the drill to a heavy-duty kit that also includes AMS
Flighted Augers and our patented Retract-A-Tip.
AMS Gas Vapour Points:
AMS Gas Vapour Dedicated Points are now used for monitoring remediation of
hydrocarbon spills, tank and pipe leakage, landfills, and hazardous waste
sites. Soil gas monitoring with the AMS Gas Vapour Dedicated Point is
easily accomplished. The unique design of the AMS dedicated stainless
steel vapour point, with a flouropolymer umbrella and optional screen to
prevent soil from clogging the vapour inlet holes, or for groundwater
sampling, ensures a representative sample time after time. Flouropolymer
tubing is used to transfer the sample to the surface. The AMS Gas Vapour
Probe is supplied with all the items needed to efficiently install the
dedicated points in most penetrable soils.
Includes:
An asphalt and concrete drill for
pavement penetration.
An Extendible Tile Probe, 12' long to
quickly check for obstructions prior to placement.
A heavy duty electric Rotary Hammer
Drill and an AMS Slide Hammer to ensure efficient placement.
A hardened steel Tip Drive End and
hollow extension are used to protect the Gas Vapour Point and TeflonŽ
tubing as they are driven into the soil.
A hand operated Retrieval Jack to
recover the Tile Probe and GVP Extensions.
A hand operated vacuum pump for sample
recovery.
