The new AMS Split Core Sampler is a
new twist on an existing idea.
This stainless steel tool gives you the versatility you need complete with
an auger tip for the speed and drilling effectiveness of a soil auger with
the option to purchase a core tip separately. You can inspect moisture
content, soil consistency, and use a PID or FID right on the spot. Used
without a retaining cylinder, the split core opens lengthwise to allow you
easy access to your sample for segmenting and separating for storing in a
container for laboratory analysis.
Used with a transparent retaining cylinder such as plastic, the split core
opens completely so you can view the sample, then cap the retaining
cylinder ends and send the sample to a laboratory for analysis.
High Quality Construction:
The sampler is available with core and auger
tips in three sizes; 3.5cm, 5.1cm and 6.4cm. These sizes reflect the O.D.
of liner used to contain the sample. The sampler has an outside diameter
of 2.5cm larger than the liner size. Tips with a butterfly valve are
available. An optional coupler is used to join two split body sets to
extend the sampler's length.
