Hydroscout is a field portable test that quantifies water concentration a variety of matricides (oil, paint, solvents, liquid waste, soil, inks, etc) Hydroscout can quantify water content in two ranges 0 to 20% and 0 to 100%. It is an easy, low cost test that can be run in the field at the pick up point or in a laboratory setting with minimal training required. This method is ideal for accurately determining the true water content in used oil before acceptance or treatment.

The Hydroscout palm-sized meter is programmed to determine water content over two common ranges, Program A for 0-20% and can determine the water content down to 0.15% (1500 ppm) v/v. Using the dilution vials, Program B can measure water content up to 100%. Results are displayed in volume percent on an LCD. The meter is menu driven for ease of use. Both programs autocalibrate and perform quality control checks to minimise false negatives and ensure accuracy.

Reagents:

All of the reagents are pre-measured and sealed in glass ampules for safe accurate and consistent results. Results are obtained in 2 minutes utilizing only a sample syringe, one test tube and one breakable ampule. each test comes with a disposable ampule that allows easy disposal of used tests in normal waste. The tests come packaged 40 tests per box.

Testing the water content of oil 10 to 100% requires one additional step using a pre-measured dilution vial. Dilution vials are available in separately packaged units of 12 vials per box.
