The InsiteIG Model 3100 portable dissolved
oxygen analyzer is a state of the art, easy to use meter that provides
many benefits to the plant operations staff.
The Insite IG Model 3100 is a unique system
which combines advanced electronics with a solid-state, optical sensor. It
is a multi-range analyzer designed for the measurement of dissolved oxygen
in all aqueous solutions. The micro-processor based electronics of
the analyzer provide a high degree of flexibility and ease of use.
Data logging the ability to download the data directly to computer are
also featured.
The Model 3100 is specifically designed to
handle the harsh conditions of the wastewater industry, however it can
also be used in aquaculture, environmental monitoring and process
applications.
The optical DO measurement system utilizes
fluorescence technology, which has many benefits:
- Readings are not affected by flow - the
meter will measure accurately in stagnant water - something which DO
sensors with membranes struggle to do.
- No membranes or filling solutions
basically eliminates maintenance apart from occasionally flushing the
sensor with water.
- Minimal calibration. The sensor
has been designed to require very infrequent calibration. Unlike
polarographic systems, light fouling of the
sensing element should not affect the accuracy of the reading, but
should only slow the response time of the system. With the
sensor kept reasonably clean, the calibration should hold for 6 months
to 2 years, depending upon conditions.
