This Australian Made
Core Sampler is designed to take undisturbed core samples from a range of soil types. The
Core Sampler allows samples to be taken at the surface, or at depths of several meters in
a pre-augured hole. Constructed of stainless steel for sample integrity and easy cleaning,
the Core Sampler will collect 50mm x 300mm samples with ease. How it works
- Insert the plastic liner tube inside the Core Sampler Body.
Screw the Core Sampler nosepiece onto the Core Sampler Body. For sandy soils, use the
optional Eggshell Catcher.
- For surface sampling, connect the T-handle to the Core
Sampler Body, then screw the T-Handle to the Slide Hammer. Tighten the joins using the
Tommy Bars and C-Spanner. This will ensure that the Slide Hammer threads are not damaged.
- For deeper sampling, connect optional extensions between the
T-Handle and Core Sampler. Lower the Sampler into a pre-augured hole then sample at the
required depth.
- Pound the Core Sampler into the ground using the Slide
Hammer, until the sample is collected.
- Lift the Core Sampler out of the hole and remove the plastic
liner tube which contains the sample. Cap the ends of the tube with the End Caps, and take
your sample away.
