The GEM2000 landfill gas
monitor has been specifically designed for use on gas extraction systems,
flares and migration control systems.In
addition to monitoring landfill gas, the GEM2000 monitors gas flow, static
and impact pressure, peak gas readings and then internally calculates the
BTU content of the landfill gas. The unit allows the landfill engineer to
accurately balance the gas extraction system.

Operating Principles
Gas Analysis
- Attach sample tube to bore hole and use internal pump to draw sample
through analyser as per a GA2000.
Volume Analysis - Attach
2 tubes to pitot tube and analyser and place pitot in gas extraction
pipework for pressure reading and flow and BTU calculation.
Cross Gas Effects - If calibrated to Methane
and there are other hydrocarbon gases in the mixture, the methane reading
will be higher (never lower) than the actual reading.
The GEM2000 is ATEX classified for use in potentially
explosive atmospheres, to EEx ibd II A T1.
