PP2 Pumps with External

Similar to the Genie Pump but use an external
controller.
These pumps emit no vapours and meet stringent air quality standards.
Hydrocarbon never comes in contact with the air outside the pump.
Therefore the exhausted air is very clean compared to air displacement
type pumps. Since no air passes through the pump, the pump acts like a
closed in chamber. This allows multiple pumps to be driven off one
external controller and still have every pump complete a full cycle, every
time. Other pumps like air displacement pumps cannot do this.

SOS & SPG Skimmers for
Genie or PP2 Pumps
There
are two main types of skimmer technologies, available as a quick connect
attachment, for Genie or PP2 pumps:
Selective Oil Skimmers (SOS) and Specific Gravity Skimmers (SPG). To help
determine which skimmer is the better fit given the unique attributes
associated with each site and the hydrocarbons present, the following are
some general guidelines and rules to follow. |

Selective Oil Skimmer
(SOS)
The Selective Oil Skimmer (SOS) should be used under the following
conditions:
- The product has a low viscosity, such as
gasoline, diesel, and jet fuels (< 200 centistokes)
- If product needs to be removed to a
sheen (= 0.25 mm).

Specific Gravity Skimmer
(SPG)
The Specific Gravity Skimmer (SPG) is extremely durable and removes high
volumes of free-floating product when a 25 mm product layer or greater
is present. This skimmer should be used under any combination of the
following conditions:
- The product is viscous (200-1000
centistokes)
- Hydrocarbon has a specific gravity of
0.85 or less
- Large quantities of product exist or
well recharge rates are high
- Water drawdown is desired in a 50 mm
well.

C100M Controller
Versatile pump controller
provides easy adjustment of floating hydrocarbon removal rates, including
programmed OFF periods.
The C100M controller is a digital
controller that can be used with the Genie Pump to set up sleep modes on
used to drive externally
controlled pumps. The controller offers easy digital control of pump
operations to match your projects specific floating hydrocarbon properties
and site conditions. |
The C100M controller even includes the ability
to programme OFF or 'sleep' periods, so that the maximum LNAPL flow through the soil
can be maintained. Such OFF periods can enhance higher net free phase
product removal rates.
The model C100M Digital Controller is solar-powered and provides advanced
operational capabilities at an economical price. The solar powered mode of
operation includes a 10 day battery back up and has been proven
rechargeable under cold winter regions.
Easy to use digital control of pump discharge and refill cycles and
programmed "off-times" make it convenient to optimize LNAPL recovery, even
for difficult sites. tank-full shut-off for the collection tank is a safe,
simple and inexpensive add-on to the C100M, as is an optional level control
function.
The C100M when powered by the solar panel is rated IS, when powered
externally is not rated IS.

Pneumatic Full Tank Shut Off with
built in Fail Safe Protection.
The QED Tank Full Shut-Off System (TFSO) is a self-contained safety system which
can be used to turn off other pneumatic systems in the event of a liquid
level rise or a pressure increase in a container (e.g., product recovery
tank, oil/water separator, and/or surge tank).
- In integrated module/sensor unit for monitoring on one tank (shown on
the left)
- The TFSO is rated IS.

The Model 800021 full tank shut off is
an option for the C100 pump controller.
It is an electric powered float device that
screws into the top of the 50mm bung hole in a standard 205 litre drum.
The two wires are connected to the appropriate terminals on the back of
the C100 controller to complete the set up. when high levels are detected,
the C100 will discontinue pump operation and will enter the remain in the
"Full Tank" and System Disable" mode. To resume normal operation, the drum
level must be lowered sufficiently to deactivate the switch and the C100
must be manually reset.
