425 Sampler
The reel mounted stainless steel sampler is pressurised with a foot or hand pump before entering the well. This prevents water flowing through the sampler on the way down the well. Once the desired depth is reached, the pressure is released and hydrostatic pressure allows the sample to fill with water directly from the sampling zone.
The sampler is ideal for sampling from below an oil/product layer on the surface of the water, as it allows a sample to be obtained which is untouched by the oil. The sample device is easily decontaminated without the need for tools. A convenient sample release device is included, along with a pressure/vent switch to apply and release the pressure on the sampler.
Model 425-T
Sampler Transportation Vessel
This model is designed to keep the sample pressurised, thus retaining volatiles, at sampling depth pressure, during retrieval and transport to the laboratory. The sampler has the special shut-off valves to lock the sample within the sample canister at down-hole pressure, with zero head space. Once the sampler is filled, pressure is reapplied to the sample, then it is brought back to the surface. The sampler is similar to the standard Model. It is very easy to use and only requires a simple hand pump.
High Pressure DIS
The High pressure version of the Discrete Interval Sampler is designed for use in sampling at depths of greater than 140 meters below water level. A special pneumatic level device is used for a lower and safer operating pressure in deeper applications.
