Now you can easily sample and filter on-site!
Is is often necessary to filter groundwater samples on-site. This might be for metals analysis to make it lab-ready, or to get the sample ready to be stored for a short to medium term before analysis.
There are two ways to filter on site: filtration whilst sampling (in-line) or filtration after sampling (two-stage process).
One-step Sampling and Filtering
Here filtering is done whilst sampling - inline. This is easily achieved by including a filter on the outlet hosing in-line to the sample container. Obviously, it is simpler and easier to complete the filtration and sampling in one step.
Two-step Sampling and Filtering
Here you take the sample first, and then run it through a filter into a collection vessel. This is achieved using a hand pump or syringe.

Pressure Bailers allow you to collect a sample and filter with one bailer.

The new disposable pressure bailers are the simplest and fastest way to collect a filtered sample right at the well head.

Use the sample bailer that you use to collect your sample as a pressure vessel to push water through a filter. No more transfer vessels are secondary containers to spend your time decontaminating between samples. Save on your sampling time and costs.

For VOC sampling, use the VOC attachment for pressure bailers. No need for different types of bailers!

The pressurised bailer’s rugged polyethylene construction permits use for both bailing and sampling wells while eliminating cross contamination and decon time.

Quick three step process to get a filtered sample

Drop the pressure bailer into the well and collect up to 1 litre of groundwater
Screw the filter on the bottom
Push the hand pump hose on the top and pressurise the bailer

Ideal for 600cm2 VGWC filter capsules or the smaller 20cm2 Aquaprep V filters or any filter with a 1/8” male thread
