Sick of carting large, heavy sampling and purging equipment to a remote site only to have it breakdown on you? The Waterra has proven to be one of the most effective, yet low-priced sampling and purging systems available today. EnviroEquip has the complete range of Waterra® foot valves and tubing for all your purging and sampling requirements.

How does a Waterra® foot valve work?
1.  Tubing/Valve assembly is installed in well. Water level inside tubing rises to that in well.
2.  A rapid upstroke closes the foot valve and lifts the water column inside the tubing a distance equal to the stroke.
3.  At the end of the upstroke, the water column continues to rise due to its momentum. A further column of water is thus simultaneously drawn into the tube.
4.  Pushing the tubing down immediately after the upstroke forces a further column of water into the tubing due to the inertia of the water column.
5.  The cycle is repeated and water rises in pulses to discharge at the surface.

Available with Optional Drive Mechanisms
Use these drive mechanisms to make pumping even easier.

Four Performance Ranges
Waterra® pumps are available in four performance ranges, depending on the diameter of tubing and footvalve. Choose from High Flow System Standard Flow System, Mini Flow System and Micro Flow System. The larger the tubing, the greater the flow rate and depth capacity. Within each flow range is an assortment of footvalves and tubing for different requirements.

Standard Flow

The Standard Flow System is the most popular inertial pump. This system is best suited for 2" monitoring wells and can provide lifts up to 150 feet. Flow rates can be as much as 1 gallon per minute.

  Standard Flow - D-25
This is the most commonly used Waterra® flow system. The footvalve used is a Delrin D25 ideal for developing, sampling and purging in 31.57mm (1.25), and larger wells. Used with 16mm (5/8") OD tubing.  Flow Rate: 0 - 6 L/min. Lift Capacity: 40meters.
  Standard Flow - SS-19
Use this Waterra® footvalve when Delrin is unsuitable for your sampling, developing or purging processes. It fits easily down 31.57mm (1.25) and larger wells. It features a self tapping female thread, durable, excellent resistance to organics, used with standard LDPE16 or HDPE16 (5/8") OD tubing. Flow Rate: 0 - 6 L/min. Lift Capacity: 40meters.

D16

SS16

Surge Block

Standard Flow - Specialty Valves D-16 and SS16
Use these Waterra® footvalves internally with the same LDPE16 tubing. Available in either Delrin (D-16) or Stainless Steel (SS16), they screw inside the tubing, allowing usage in narrower wells.

This system can also be adapted for well development by installing a SBD-25 Surge Block to the D-25 footvalve. This device causes the pump to simultaneously surge and pump, removing fine material from the well and well screen.

High Flow

The High Flow System is designed to be used in 2 inch wells or larger where a high pumping rate is desired. This system is also an excellent well development tool in 2 inch piezometers.

  High Flow - D32
Delrin D32 valves with 25.4mm (1) OD LDPE tubing. Ideal for: Deep well sampling, Large diameter wells, Well development, and Sediment-laden wells. Features: Self tapping female thread, durable, excellent resistance to organics, excellent silt handling abilities and high flow rate. Flow Rate: 0 - 13 L/min. Lift Capacity: 42meters.
Low Flow

The Low Flow System is designed to be used in small diameter piezometers (usually 1" ID to 0.75" ID).

  Low Flow - D13
Use D13 with ½ OD by 3/8 ID tubing. Ideal for sampling in piezometers, sampling damaged wells and custom installations. Flow Rate: 0 - 2.2 L/min. Lift Capacity: 20meters.
Low Flow

The Micro Flow System is popular for use in direct push technology micro well installations.

  Microflow - SS10
Use SS10 with 3/8 OD tubing for Micro wells, damaged wells, custom installations and direct push technology. Flow Rate: 0 - 2.1 L/min. Lift Capacity: 14meters.

PE tubing

Tubing Options - Low Density & High Density Polyethylene

LDPE16 - for D25, SS19, D16, SS16
5/8 OD low density polyethylene (LDPE) softer and easier to work with than HDPE, comes in 50m coils, 0.5m diameter

HIGHHDPE16 - for D25, SS19, D16, SS16
5/8" OD high density polyethylene (HDPE) provides extra stiffness for deeper applications. Comes in 100m coils, 1m diameter.

HDPE25 & LDPE25 - for D32s
1" OD comes in HDPE, 100m rolls. Rigid enough to get to most depths. Also available LDPE25, low density polyethylene tubing in 100m rolls.
